"This
is the norm." These 4 words from a video I watched yesterday (thanks to Brooke) on what guys
think about modesty stuck out to me. It was in reference to how we girls dress provocatively without realizing the effect it has on guys. Should
this be the norm? And whose liability is it that we amuse ourselves with a
culture-polluted standard that is not only immoral, but also unbiblical and
catapulting many others into sin? In 1 Timothy chapter 2, Paul teaches us that we
as women should adorn ourselves in
respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control (verse 9). He says that
we should not dress to show off our wealth or to be seductive. We should dress
in a way that is that is proper for women
who profess godliness (verse 10).

South Africa and the Sustaining Gospel
On July 18, I will be boarding a plane and leaving this country for the first time in my life. I will be crossing the big blue ocean heading for Johannesburg, South Africa. I have a whirlwind of emotions over it, but I am mostly excited for this opportunity and I cannot wait to see what all God is doing and is going to do in the lives of the people there we will serve.
...But why am I going?
